Glenavon FC is a historic Northern Irish football club based in Lurgan, County Armagh. Founded in 1889, the club has a long-standing tradition in the Irish League and has won multiple major domestic honours, including league titles and Irish Cups. Glenavon plays at Mourneview Park, a c.3,200-capacity stadium that gives the club a strong local base and established matchday platform. Located between Belfast and Armagh, the club benefits from a loyal community following and access to a wider regional catchment. Following its 2026 takeover by a UK-US consortium, Glenavon now has a strengthened ownership platform, new international backing and scope to rebuild on one of Northern Ireland’s more established football institutions.
